Funding Crisis—Your Signature Could Help Boost NIA Budget
Quick Links
Concerned about the dismal National Institute on Aging (NIA) payline expected for next year (see ARF related news story)? You are not alone. Several initiatives are afoot to convince the National Institutes of Health to boost the NIA budget. The advocacy group USAgainstAlzheimer's is coordinating an effort, asking researchers, educators, and clinicians to sign a letter to NIH director Francis Collins that calls for an additional $300 million in NIA funding for the 2012 fiscal year. You can sign the letter, but you must do so before 15 December 2010.—Tom Fagan.
