Trem2: Knock-In Alzheimer's Disease No neuron loss, amyloid plaques, or neurofibrillary tangles were observed in mice up to 24 months of age. Locomotor activity, motor coordination, and working memory similar to wild-type at 2 and 12 months of age. Compared with wild-type mice: age-, sex-, and region-dependent differences in glucose uptake and cerebral blood flow; increased mortality of females at 24 months of age; downregulation of genes related to immune function, and degradation of biological material in aged mice.
