This is a full-time, on-site role for a postdoctoral researcher at the University Health Network in Toronto. The successful applicant will have a strong, multimodal MR imaging background. Their work will focus on furthering understanding of the effect of repetitive head injury in former professional athletes at risk of neurodegenerative disease. The fellow will have the opportunity to develop other projects depending on their skills, interests, and the interaction with other lab members. The fellowship will start in summer 2025 and offers ample opportunity for collaborations both within the institute and with other researchers in Toronto. The application deadline is May 30, 2025.
Requirements: Responsibilities Include:
- Experimental design, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation
- Magnetic resonance image analysis (experience with PET is an asset)
- Data analysis using advanced, multivariate statistical tools
- Dissemination of research results (e.g., publications, conferences, public outreach)
Description
Qualifications include:
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, or similar
- Advanced quantitative and computer skills, including the ability to use Matlab, Python, or any other programming language that enables experiment design and data analysis
- Advanced knowledge of neuroimaging software: FSL, FreeSurfer, SPM
- Experience with MRI data collection and analysis
- Effective oral and written communication skills
